An additional two individuals have been arrested related to a theft at London's Heathrow Airport in which 21 people were injured by what is thought to be an irritant spray, as stated by law enforcement.

A 24-year-old man, was arrested in Lambeth on suspicion of theft and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. They both are still being held, authorities confirmed.

These detentions come after a probe into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the incident, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their suitcases after getting out of a parking garage elevator.

A toddler aged three was among the those hurt in the event. Five people went to hospital for medical care and have since been released.

Police detained a 31-year-old man for suspected theft and assault near the location. He has since been released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.

Authorities were alerted at approximately 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding several people injured by an irritating chemical thought to be an irritant spray.

The assault - which police said was a standalone incident and not considered terrorism - resulted in train delays and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the T3 parking facility for a short time.
